Ocean House – Opening September 2027
Our fourth Kindergarten, the Ocean House, will open at Heidelberg Innovation Park in September 2027.

What we're looking for...
Before applying, please review the following requirements:

Experience: At least 1 year of Kindergarten/experience with ages 0-6 — required for all positions.

Language Requirements: C1 English, or German native speakers with at least B2 English
-
Shown preference: Native English speakers with German skills
-
Positions: Full-time and part-time
Lead & Co-Teachers (Full-Time)
37.5–39.5 hours/week
For qualified and recognized pädagogische Fachkräfte* with at least 1 year of Kindergarten experience.
Assistants (Part-Time)
25–35 hours/week
For candidates without a recognized pädagogische qualification, but with at least 1 year of Kindergarten experience or similar experience with ages 0-6.

Important information for international candidates
A ZAB Statement of Comparability confirms the German level of a foreign degree, but it does not constitute professional recognition as an early childhood education professional.
If you want to have your foreign qualification recognized for professional work in a kindergarten in Baden-Württemberg, you must complete the separate professional recognition process with the responsible Baden-Württemberg authority.

To start at the beginning of the school year, you must secure a school placement before applying to us. Applications outside of the following timeline will not be accepted or even reviewed.
Required Timeline:

May–June: Interview, trial day, finalize contracts & documentation

September: Start position
School placement is the applicant's responsibility. Apply to schools as early as possible, as places may fill before our hiring period.
